Well, yes, I suppose I am "back".

It finally seemed like my knee might allow me to run further than 2 miles. I have only ventured over the 15 minute mark running two times since mid January and I was hoping I wouldn't exceed that by too much today.

What have I been doing the last three months? All will be shortly revealed, but suffice it to say that this entire week I have been woefully, pitifully sore and today was really no different.

I did a very brief warmup on the trails near the start to get shelter from the wind, but I'm not sure that really hurt me. I think the biggest factor in my poor performance today was the extreme fatigue in my calves. I felt great the first half a mile or so, but my calves got tired at about that point and I had to shorten my stride up. I gradually lost the main pack and slipped back through the field but I didn't lose too much ground all things considered.

Mile splits were 4:53 and 10:10, meaning that I ran somewhat like a high schooler, oh well.

After the race Allie and I went to the field house:

Hamstring 3*15 @90lbs

Quads 3*15@115lbs

Abductors 3*15@85lbs

Adductors 3*15@80lbs (felt weak today)

One legged Eccentric Leg Press 3*10 @ 160lbs (each leg, right glute sore)

Back 3*12 @45lbs

Internal/External Hip rotation 3*15 @ 20pounds (each leg)

Bridging with extension 15*(5secs each leg)*2 sets

Plank (Front/side/side) 90sec/60/60*3 (Last set alphabet+trunk twist)

Reverse Leg Raises 4*25 each leg

Soon! Sooon!

you're back.

i would just like to point out (brag) that i died harder than you in the second and third mile. it must be that i have 6 oz, 1/4 pound more weight on my head.

your commentary on the field house workout is much more detailed than mine. next time we do alphabet plank i suggest we should just do a bunch of w's over and over again.

then cooldown on the treadmill @ 5:00 pace.

You lost 45 secs the first mile,35 secs the second mile, 34 secs the last 1.1 miles.

Even when the competition is who is worse, I still win. Bwahahahaha!

Great race today.

Nice strength workout - I think. Is that English?

Nice job Fidster! lol I always am jealous when I see you running around my work area at Liberty Park. I always can tell when a bullet is bearing down the street that its you.

Great race today. What a fast pack right?
