Up Sunnyside to research park along the shoreline trail to popperton park. Then along 11th avenue to city creek. Up to the waterstation and back.

The idea was to avoid my disaster from my last long run by sticking close to home and drinking fountains. I actually averaged 7:20 pace for the run but that doesn't really tell the story. I lost my hearing about 8 miles into the run and figured it was just altitude, but then I couldn't get my ears to pop. I started dousing myself with water at every opportunity but it wasn't much help. My breathing was pretty ragged for the last few miles and I was pretty sure I was suffering from heat stroke. I eventually had to start sitting down at the intersections while I waited for the lights to change, but I made it back and immediately took a cold shower.

I'm not too concerned about the outcome today, I think I just got severely dehydrated.

AM KAJJA run 9 miles. We all seemed to be dragging this morning. I personally felt terrible and was definitely glad for the company.

PM 4 miles running home.

Brutal 20-miler in 100 degree heat. Ran with Allie for about 15 miles and then ran 6:43,6:27,6:36,6:45,6:30 for the last 5 miles. Not bad considering the hot weather.
