Total Distance
4.00

I was feeling kind of nauseous during the race and so my splits were pretty silly 55,80,78,71. Sat in about 10th place for the first 800, then gradually started to move up. Unleashed the fiddy kick in the last 300m, walking down a bunch of kids 5-10 years younger than me.

Prediction going into the race was 4:45 (ask Allie!), but I think that I can do much better now.

Final note. This converts to a 5:07, which is a post-mayan-apocalypse PR.

Ah, the 1500 meters! That was my favorite race back in the day, but it's a young man's race! Nice job. Did you multiply by 1.08 to get the conversion? I believe that's the rule of thumb, but I know IAAF once had an official conversion table.

Are you racing that distance again? If so, I'll look forward to seeing you run it faster.

I used this table to convert, which when I do the math appears to be a 1.08 ratio. I thought I should round up as this wasn't FAT.

I'll be running track meets 5 of the next 6 tuesdays. I think the next one I'll run the 800.
